Company quality policy
The Quality Policy is the company document which shows the intentions of the Direction regarding the fundamental requirements of the Quality Management System implemented by New Plast s.r.l., reflecting the philosophy of the Company. The Direction developed this policy considering the background in which the company works, and the expectations of the main parties concerned, constantly monitoring the changes to adapt the system to the new requirements.
This document formalizes the commitment of the Direction and of the entire company to satisfy all the needs applicable, are they normative, of customers, of the parties concerned. The Direction has identified, in addition, the following guidelines and objectives which is committed to ensuring, providing with the necessaire resources (human, technical and financial):
- Full customer satisfaction: Providing the customer with a high-quality service, reliable, safe, prompt and flexible. To develop the capacity to respond and, if possible, to advance the needs and expectations of customers, optimizing the company’s process, pursuing continuous improvement, monitoring their satisfaction, managing the claims and promoting initiative to inform and involve them.
- Respect of the current law: Ensure the full respect of the current laws and of any voluntary commitments undertaken, keeping up to date with new regulations, promoting continuous updating on safety and hygiene and a proactive approach to environmental and safety issues.
- Involvement and exploitation of human resources: Promoting clear communication, support, appropriate training, and definition of skills and responsibility. Provide appropriate authority so that every employee, in relation to its own role, feel personally involved in the implementation of the Quality Management System.
- Financial Stability: In the planning of the activities and investments, to consider the financial aspect too, valuing the relationship between cost-benefit to ensure financial solidity, continuity of the supply and technologic innovation.
- Supplier’s satisfaction: Establish and maintain solid relationship with suppliers, based on mutual faith, clarity and honesty, involving them in the company’s process related to the research of innovative solutions and to respect the environment and security.
- Promotion of culture and quality: Develop a company culture oriented to quality, to reach the best results in terms of performance in quality.
In support of what is written above, according to the BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials requirements, has been adopted a Quality Management System and has been named a Quality Insurance Manager who, reporting directly to the Management and operating with the authority and freedom assigned, collaborated with the rest of personnel to guarantee the application and the update of the Quality Management System. This role includes, in addition, the prompt reporting of eventual issues, facilitating the attuation of corrective actions. The adoption of this system allows to identify and prevent eventual dangers in the productive process which could compromise the safety of the products destinated to food contact, guarantee the safety of the packaging itself.
New Plast has, moreover, set up the Product’s Safety Group (PSG), with the goal of enhance the efficiency of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), expecting to:
- Clearly define the tasks and responsibility of personnel.
- Regularly train and update both staff and company management on quality.
- Activate a Program of the Quality to define the annual goals destinated to the improvement of the quality of products, increasing the customer’s satisfaction and reducing any negative factors for business results (errors, delays, complaints, etc.).
New Plast is responsible for the implementation of this policy and the periodic verification of its correct implementation, reviewing the objectives and defining new ones. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System, the active contribution of all company staff is required, who must support the implementation of the policy and the set objectives. Any issue that cannot be resolved at the level of the relevant business function shall be brought to the attention of the CEO.
